We’ve decided to lay out the steps of our process – from ordering the perfect glass memorial and selecting your colour options, to having it delivered by hand to your front door! Here’s the Loving Ashes glass memorial formation process…
1. Ordering Your Memorial Piece
The first step in the Loving Ashes process is deciding on the perfect infused glass memorial piece. By clicking here, you’ll be taken to our art pieces page. Here you can choose between a glass heart or memorial orb. Once you’ve decided and clicked on your preferred piece, you are able to select three colours that will be blended within the glass memorial. Once you’ve selected your colours and added your selection to your basket, you are able to conveniently pay online.
2. Delivery of Containment Vessel
Once we’ve received your glass memorial order, we will dispatch to your residence a representative from one of our preferred courier companies. They’ll have a package for you; a little tin we like to call the ash containment vessel. Your courier will also hand you an identification form that you’ll have to fill in.
3. Ash Extraction
This step can take as long as you need – there’s no rush. When you’re ready, you’ll need to extract about a table spoon of your departed loved on or pet’s cremation ashes and place it in the ash containment vessel. Your tin should have a unique number on it that corresponds with the form you received. Once this has been done, you will need to fill in your details on the form and your side of the process is complete – almost.
4. Collection of Containment Vessel
The last thing you’ll need to do is give Loving Ashes a call or a mail to let us know that your ash containment vessel is ready for collection. We will dispatch our preferred courier rep once again to collect it from you, and they will return it to us at Loving Ashes HQ in Kloof.
5. The Formation Can Begin
Once we receive your parcel, the art that is hand-blown glass memorial formation can begin! Our artisan glass blowers will use dyes corresponding to your preferred colour theme, and your departed loved one or pet’s ashes, to craft a stunning memorial orb or heart that is completely one-of-a-kind. Rest assured that no other person on the planet will have a glass memorial the same as yours.
6. Packaged and Delivered
Once we’ve let your beautiful glass memorial cool down, we’ll package it in a lovely velvet bag and include a certificate of authenticity. Our courier representative will return to your residence once again, this time with your glass memorial in hand.
